Four Carolinians as 2010 Aboitiz Scholars
Michaela Golajer (BSCS 1), Jomes Kemuel Ibañez (BSBA 2), Kendall Revilla (BSA 3), and Maxine Ann Taveros (BSA 1) are four of the seven students from the different partner schools in Cebu who made it to this year?s Aboitiz College Scholarship Program (ACSP) which is yearly awarded by Aboitiz Equity Ventures (AEV).
The students underwent a series of screening activities before being chosen from out of the 350 applicants by the ACSP Scholarship Selection Committee. A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing ceremony between Aboitiz Equity Ventures (AEV) and the scholars together with their respective parents/guardians was held at the Casino Español de Cebu last June 5, 2010. AEV heads led by Chief Finance Officer Steve Paradies, Sonny Carpio, and VP-for Corporate HR Ms. Nancy Lim and members of the academe from the different partner schools were present to grace the event. USC President Fr. Dionisio M. Miranda, SVD and Acting Coordinator for Scholarships Mrs. Elizabeth L. Saldivar represented USC.
The Aboitiz College Scholarship Program (ACSP) recognizes outstanding undergraduate students enrolled in any Accountancy, Business/Management, IT or Engineering course as recipients of its assistance in tuition and other school expense.

USC Homecoming 2010 - Carolinian Reunion
ALUMNI REUNIONS. CAROLINIAN, COME HOME!
“Celebrating Milestones, Expanding Horizons: 75 years of SVD Mission at USC
This is the year’s theme for USC FOUNDATION WEEK on August 23-28 and USC Homecoming 2010, on August 28 at the Grand Convention Center. We are inviting all USC alumni to celebrate with us, as we joyfully remember our 75 years with the SVDs. Tickets are at P300.00 which includes dinner and raffle prizes. A fellowship follows after dinner and we invite alumni to present numbers for the program and e-mail/call us at the office for coordination.
Also, we are now accepting nominees for the search of the Most Outstanding USC Alumni 2010 on the following categories:
1. Scientia Award (knowledge)
2. Virtus Award (leadership)
3. Devotio Award (service)
