Mieljoy M. Lagarbe (BSChE 2009 cum laude) secured the second top spot in the chemical engineer licensure examination administered by PRC on April 20, 21 & 22, 2010 in Manila. In said examination, PRC recognized only six (6) top performers, instead of the usual ten (10). Lagarbe obtained a score of 81.90 %.
USC posted a passing rate of 86 % as only one of the seven takers from USC did not make the cut. This performance is considerably higher than the 46 % (151 out of 329) national passing rate.
