Two Carolinians among the "Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines (TOSP) in Region VII

Carolinian students Miguel Antonio Garcia (Economics) and Stephen Alexeus Baltazar (Accountancy) were chosen as among the awardees of the "Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines (TOSP) in Region VII."

Garcia graduated Summa Cum Laude with a grade point average of 1.07 in Bachelor of Arts Major in Economics (Statistics Track Program) last March 2009. While in college, he was always a dean’s lister, first in rank in Arts Division of the College of Arts and Sciences thereby making him a consistent scholar from 2005 to 2009 aside from the Claude M. Wilson Scholarship Program of Rhine Marketing Corporation that he received.

Baltazar, on the other hand, finished his Bachelor of Science in Accountancy as Cum Laude in March 2009. As a college student, he too received several awards and recognition. Foremost are: The Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines Region VII- Central Visayas, Special Awards in Leadership and Exemplary Achievement (cum laude, SGV and Co. Leadership Award, Isla Lipana and Co. Leadership Award, Punongbayan and Araullo Medal for Exemplary Achievements as an Accounting Student), USC The Outstanding Graduate 2009, The Most Outstanding JPIAn 2008 and many others.
