College of Law slates Grand Alumni Homecoming. The University of San Carlos (USC) College of Law Alumni Association, Inc. in coordination with the administration of USC College of Law is holding a grand reunion of all its alumni on May 24, 2008, 4:30 pm at the new Hoerdemann building of the USC College of Law.
Carrying the theme, “Coming to a New Home,” the event is a historic one since it will be the first reunion to be held in the new six-storey edifice since its completion in January this year. The attire is Denim and White Top.
“We are calling all alumni especially those in the Visayas and Mindanao to attend this historic gathering,” urges lawyer Nestor Nuez, president of USC College of Law Alumni Association, Inc.
Nuez said they will be also honoring all the recent bar passers especially lawyer Jennie Aclan, the fourth placer, during the reunion.
For the convenience of all alumni, the USC College of Law and Ateneo de Manila Law School have organized a two-day Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) right before the grand reunion. All lawyers are required to undertake a refresher course or MCLE equivalent to 36 units every year before they can continue their practice.
The MCLE slated on May 22 to 23 at Casino EspaƱol entitles the participant to earn 18 units.
