USC Choristers Gets High Grade For Choral Music Examination and Accreditation in the Philippines

The USC Choristers passed the first ever Choral Music Examination and Accreditation in the Philippines conducted by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM), with the grade of "A", the highest possible score. The examination and accreditation was held at the USC Choristers' office at Anselmo Bustos Sports Complex, Downtown Campus, on February 24.

The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, or ABRSM, is an examination board based in London, UK, which provides examination in music at centers on the world.

Historically, this has been the first time for ABRSM to conduct an international accreditation on choral groups and organizations held in Cebu, in the Philippines and in Asia.

The USC Choristers is currently under the direction of Prof. Roberto del Rosario. Established in 1965 by the late Prof. Ricardo Narciso, Jr., the USC Choristers is considered as the longest-running Cebu-based collegiate choral group.
