USC Enrollment Procedures
First Semester, 2010-2011
April 19, 2010 – June 11, 2010

FOR NEW FRESHMEN (Talamban Campus, Main Campus & South Campus)

Venue: Respective Colleges and Departments

Main Campus:
CAS – Library Science Dept.
College of Commerce

South Campus:
College of Education

Talamban Campus:
College of Engineering
College of Arts and Sciences
College of Architecture & Fine Arts
College of Nursing,
College of Pharmacy
College of Education – SMED Dept.

Step 1: Get a Certificate of Acceptance from Department Chair
and Registration Form.

Step 2: Proceed to teller counter and pay the downpayment:

1. Php 2,000 for local students;
2. Php 7,000 for foreign students.

Step 3: Submit admission requirements to:

1. Main Campus: Room GR240MC (second floor)
2. Talamban Campus: Registrar’s Office (basement), Bunzel Bldg.and get Student Manual and temporary school ID.

Step 4: Proceed to the academic department for encoding
of class schedule.

Step 5: Proceed to assessment counters to get admission slip.

NOTE: CAFA and Pharmacy Students:Proceed to Department and get Class Schedule (which serves as Admission Slip)

Step 6: Proceed to Registrar’s Office for counter-signing of
temporary ID (present admission slip).

Step 7: Proceed to the Office of Student Affairs for ID
picture-taking and printing of permanent school ID.

Step 8: Proceed to the Guidance Office for interview.
(Bring Student Manual and 1 pc. 2x2 picture)

Step 9: Proceed to School Clinic for physical and
dental check-up. (Bring Student Manual)

Electronics Engineer Board Exam Results 2010

2010 Electronics Engineer Board Exam Results. The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 20 passed the Professional Electronics Engineer and 632 out of 2,340 passed the Electronics Engineer Licensure Examination given by the Board of Electronics Engineering in the cities of Manila, Baguio and Cebu this April 2010.

Roll of Successful Examinees in the PROFESSIONAL ELECTRONICS ENGINEER EXAMINATION Held in April 2010.

ENROLMENT SCHEDULE
May 10, 2010 – June 11, 2010

SCHEDULE OF ENTRANCE EXAMINATION For NEW FIRST YEARS and TRANSFEREES
Note: Transferees must present the Law Transcript of Records to the Dean before they can take the entrance examination.

FIRST SEMESTER ACADEMIC YEAR 2010-2011
I. DATES: April 10, 17, 24, May 8, 15, 22, 29, June 5, 2010 (Saturdays)

VENUE: EH 405, 4th floor, Law and Business School Building
TIME: 8:30-11:30 A.M.
PAYMENT: P250.00 (pay at the USC Teller)
Registration starts on March 8, 2010

REQUIREMENTS:
a) BS degree Transcript of Records
b) P250.00 payment at USC Teller
c) 1 copy 1 x 1 photo (colored)

II. Procedure to follow for the REGISTRATION:
1. Present BS degree Transcript of Records to the Office of the Dean, 4th floor, Law and Business School Bldg. for validation and scheduling of the entrance examination.

2. Pay P250.00 as exam fee at the USC Bursar’s/Teller’s Office (fill out the payor’s slip and indicate on it --- exam fee for College of Law)

3. Go back to the Office of the Dean for the recording of O.R. # (submit photocopy of O.R.) and issuance of exam slip (at this point, 1 copy of 2 x 2 photo is required)

III. Things to bring during the exam schedule:
a) exam slip
b) official receipt of exam payment
c) ballpen and pencil
d) identification card with photo

REQUIREMENTS FOR ENROLMENT

1. Entrance Examination result
2. Transcript of Records (original or certified copy)
3. Certificate of Eligibility into the Law Course (C1) from the USC Registrar [can be applied after passing the entrance examination)
4. Honorable Dismissal (for graduates outside USC)
5. Certificate of Good Moral Character (for graduates outside USC)
6. 1 copy 2 x 2 photo (black & white or colored)

International Industrial Engineering Research Conference 2010.
AUGUST 25-26, 2010 CEBU CITY, PHILIPPINES

As one of the activities lined up for the silver anniversary celebration of the Industrial Engineering program in the University of San Carlos, this 2010 conference initiates a regular gathering of experts and practitioners in the field where research developments and best practices are exchanged in support to the rising importance of industrial engineering principles and the profession itself. This can also be a venue for possible collaboration with institutions, industries and other organizations from across the globe.

Gatherings as this, is deemed essential in strengthening industrial engineering core competencies in preparation of our big leap to a better and globally recog-nized institution in the next years.
